Family Sessions

3 types

  1. Group

    • general information sessions about EF skills and easy strategies to help your child at home, such as:

      • organizational and planning visuals

      • time management strategies (shading an analog clock, Get Ready*Do*Done visual-

      • creating visual and functional spaces for homework and/or after-school activities such as sports

      • flashlight visualization for refocusing attention

      • reflexive questioning examples

      • visuals or strategies to teach and model flexibility when there is a change in routine or schedule

      • co-regulation and self-regulation skills and strategies

      • self-monitoring strategies to increase your child’s independence and decrease their anxiety or worries

        scheduled in person or virtually *

  2. Individual

    • extended meetings with existing clients

  3. IEP/ 504 consultation

    • review current IEP or 504 plan and see where EF skills, strategies, modifications and/or accommodations can be added or tweaked

    • strategies for working collaboratively with a daycare, school, or school district to support and strengthen your child’s EF skills

Child Sessions

2 types

  1. Group: 3-5 children in a group focusing on a specific EF skill such as:

    • turn-taking, sharing, and playing cooperatively with others

    • flexibility (changes in routine or schedule)

    • self-regulation and controlling one’s emotions

    • paying attention by developing the skill of refocusing (ex: flashlight visualization and reflexive questioning)

    • situational awareness (ex: acting and behaving differently at home, library, movie theater, playground, etc.)

    • inhibition (ability to stop and/or pause before acting or saying something)

    • task initiation (ex: starting homework, cleaning up toys or bedroom, daily chores such as putting dishes in sink/dishwasher)

  2. Individual

    • inquiry and assessment meeting with family

    • 1:1 coaching/intervention sessions

    • phase out meeting

School or Daycare sessions

3 types

  1. Enrichment EF Whole Group Lessons (one classroom/ multiple classrooms)

    • teaching, practicing, and generalizing individual EF skills with children

  2. Classroom consultation for general education and/or special education teachers

    • Evidence-based practices such as: independent work systems (task boxes or binders), communication systems (PECS binders, visuals, AAC), and data collection

    • Physical layout (using furniture and other visuals to create clearly defined work spaces)

    • How to train and work collaboratively with paraprofessionals (teaching assistants, monitors, 1:1 aides)

    • Identifying behaviors and how to proactively decrease any off-task or maladaptive behaviors

  3. Professional development for teachers and staff members

    • easy and functional ways to implement EF in the classroom (ex: increasing student attention and participation during lessons, creating more independent students which ultimately creates a classroom that can run by itself, teaching students to self-monitor by modeling hindsight/foresight with an exit ticket, independent work inventory for teachers, etc.)

  • Group 30 minutes - $100

    Individual 30-60 minutes - $125

    Individual (assessment session and report) - $150

    A more in-depth report write-up of assessment can be added (report writing varies from 1-3 hours) - $50 per hour

School

  • 30 minute Whole Class Lesson - $75 (2 or more classrooms - $68 per class)

    45 - 60 minute Classroom Consultation w/ special education or general education teacher - $100 to $125

Payment:

I don’t work directly with insurance companies or handle therapeutic codes for services. My practice is private-pay, but you might be able to use 529 Plan funds for executive function coaching. Alternatively, if you have an OPWDD self-direct plan, you can reach out to your plan provider to see if they offer reimbursement for executive function coaching services.
